For a consultancy that helps clients operationalise sustainability, our own website should hold itself to the standard we advise: measure honestly, choose efficient defaults, and publish the results.

How the site is built
- Static-first architecture. The site is built with Astro and pre-renders pages wherever possible, so most visits are served as lightweight static files rather than computed on demand.
- Optimised media. Every image is served in modern formats (AVIF/WebP) with responsive sizing, so devices only download what they'll actually display.
- Minimal JavaScript. Interactivity is added sparingly and progressively — pages work without scripts, and animation is decoration, never a dependency.
- Few third parties. The site avoids trackers and advertising entirely; the carbon badge above is one of the very few external requests it makes.
Ongoing work
Sustainability is a practice, not a checkbox. We keep the live measurement public so regressions are visible, we review page weight when the site changes, and we evaluate our hosting choices as greener options mature. If you have suggestions — or spot something heavy — tell us.
